That’s Casual Press is Gordon’s relief printing company.
Gordon made his first end-grain relief print when he was nine years-old. At an even earlier age, Gordon was determined to become a veterinarian, and to this day, his love for animals can be seen in his subjects. Moving beyond animal portraiture, Gordon started exploring the situational humour of animals in their environments.
Gordon expanded his printing repertoire in 2024, carving a series of multi-layer lino-cut prints that observe the beauty of Canada’s provincial and territorial flowers.
These days Gordon produces a mixture of end grain or lino-cut work.
